In humid environments, the paper may corrugate or curl up causing a failure in picking the paper from the tray or sometimes jams. This paper curl lifts the paper mechanism thereby preventing the tires from touching the paper.
Troubleshooting
Step 1. Check the paper loaded on the tray and remove paper if there are any sheets curling up.
Step 2. Load a fresh ream of paper.
NOTE: It is found that paper curls up mostly within 1.5 mm or less. This can be catered by our existing pick mechanism. However, there are media that would corrugate more than this, under extreme exposure to humid environments.
Step 3. Flex, fan, and straighten the paper stack to prevent sheets from sticking together.
