Scan to SharePoint Online keeps loading then crashes

Issue description

Scan to SharePoint Online 2.x suddenly stopped working and end‑users are unable to scan.

Clicking “Scan”, the app shows “Loading” but later crashes and goes back to the home screen.

Solution

SharePoint has recently added new column types which the current version of the Lexmark Scan to Sharepoint app does not handle.

For the issue to be resolved, install a new version of the app:

  • For Lexmark devices released in the year 2016‑2022; version 2.0.5.1
  • For Lexmark devices released in the year 2008‑2014; version 2.0.3.1
