Paper curl issue when printing from the multipurpose feeder tray

Issue description

When you print a document from the multipurpose feeder (MPF) tray, the paper is curled or has dog ears on the top right corner. The printout is also affected and appears to be skewed.

This issue usually occurs when the MPF tray is almost empty.

Solution

  1. Replace the paper stack.

This will prevent the paper sheets from curling; curling causes the sheet to divert from its intended path and also creates the skewed image.

  2. Flip the media stack over in the tray source.

This procedure aims to move the exposed surfaces of the media stack to the bottom of the tray, thereby reversing the curl direction. This is only temporary resolution and is the least effective countermeasure.

If the issue persists, search for more information related to this issue or contact support for further assistance.
