The Printer Displays False 221.91 or 200.91 Paper Jam

Issue description

When you power the printer On, it displays a 221.91 paper jam error message on a multifunction product (MFP) or a 200.91 paper jam error on a single-function product (SFP). The error messages are usually observed after replacing the toner cartridge or clearing a prior paper jam when media is left in the multipurpose feeder tray (MPF).

Solution

Remove stacked media on the MPF tray when replacing the toner cartridge or clearing a prior paper jam issue.

This procedure will prevent any media from getting in the paper path caused by unintentional picks from the MPF.
