242.26 paper jam error and successive failure to pick up paper from Tray 2

Issue description

A printer posts a 242.26 paper jam error message and fails to pick up paper from Tray 2. There is no indication of any movement on the picked sheet.

Solution

1. Remove the paper stack from the tray. Flex, fan and straighten the paper stack to prevent the sheets from sticking together. Turn the stack over before loading it back into the tray . Repeat the print job.



2. If the issue persists, load a fresh ream of paper.
