Unable to pick paper due to paper curl

Issue description

In humid environments, the paper corrugates or curls up causing a failure in picking the paper from the tray or sometimes jams. This paper curl lifts the paper mechanism which prevents the tires from touching the paper.

Solution

1. Check the paper loaded on the tray and remove paper if there are any sheets curling up.



2. Load a fresh ream of paper.

   Note:  It is found that paper curls up mostly within 1.5 mm or less which is well within the existing pick roller assembly capacity. However, there are media that would corrugate more under extreme exposure to humid environments.



3. Flex, fan, and straighten the paper stack to prevent sheets from sticking together.
