Lexmark CX923
This article summarizes the steps for viewing or capturing device settings or menu settings.
Why are these settings important?
Understanding these settings will help you understand printer behavior and potentially aid in the troubleshooting of your own printer issues.
For example, a prompt to Load Tray 1 Plain, Letter may signal an issue with the tray's physical setup. By printing this page, you can quickly see the printer's Paper Type and Paper Size, and based on this information, you can either isolate a problem with the tray's paper guides (sliders), or an application setting that is overriding both printer driver and printer settings.
Note: Methods for the obtaining these pages differ by generation and available controls on the printer. Here are some examples, but if you are having difficulties finding this menu location, please check your printer's User Guide for more information.

In addition to printing the printer's settings, or viewing printer settings from Markvision Enterprise, you can also view settings from the printer's web page.
Note: Certain printer models will list Device Settings in place of Menus Settings Page.
Access the printer's web page (EWS). To do this:
Obtain the printer's IP address. (Print the Network Settings or Print Server Setup Page, or locate this value under TCP/IP via the Network > Std. Network Setup menus on the printer.)
Open your Internet browser application; for example, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, or Google Chrome.
Enter your printer's IP address into the browser's address field. For example, enter http://Printer_IP_ADDRESS, where Printer_IP_ADDRESS is the IP address of the printer.
Click on Reports located in the left-hand pane.
Select Device Settings or Menus Settings Page* to view your default or user-defined printer configuration settings.
