Lexmark CS92x & CX92x ? Skewed Printout when Paper Is Loaded from HCIT

Issue description

When printing from the High Capacity Input Tray (HCIT), the printouts come out skewed. Observers say that the issue usually occurs right after the tray has been loaded with paper.

Possible cause

A number of possible causes might produce this issue. Here are a few of them:

  • Paper damage such as paper edge curled and dog ears
  • HCIT or 3000-sheet tray is not properly latched to the printer
  • Paper size loaded in the tray is incorrect

Perform these steps below to fix the issue:

Check the condition of the paper loaded in the HCIT or 3000-sheet tray.

Does the paper exhibit any damage such as dog ears, excessive curl, or damaged edges?

Replace the paper in the tray with a fresh ream of media and make sure that it is the correct size.

Check the latch engagement of the HCIT to make sure both latches are fully engaged. See sample images below of a properly latched HCIT.
