Hostnames in HTTP/FTP proxy setting does not work

Issue description

Some setups require the printer to connect to a proxy server in order to access the internet for applications such as Scan to Email or FTP. If the value set in the HTTP/FTP proxy is a hostname, this may not work.

Solution

Firmware versions lower than 073.229 does not support using hostnames in this field. In order to resolve this, a one-time manual firmware update will need to be done on these affected printers. They can be updated to version .073.229, or the latest release in the Lexmark support site.
