Minimal Lexmark custom printing preference UI is launched in latest Server OS

Issue description

The printing preference window is launched as a minimal driver UI. This is caused by Print and Document Services not being installed on the 2022 Windows Server. This issue affects Lexmark Universal v4 XL and Lexmark Universal v4 XPS drivers and applies to Windows Server 2022 and onwards.

Solution

1. Install Print and Document Services into the system from the Windows Server Manager.



2. Go to Add Roles or Features > Add roles.



3. Restart the server. Once this new role has been installed in the system, the Lexmark custom Printing Preference UI will launch properly.
