Lexmark CS92x & CX92x ? Paper Jam Issue Caused by a Missing / Dislodged Tray Caster Wheel

Issue description

You may encounter a paper jam issue when printing from the high capacity input tray (HCIT) that is caused by a missing 3000-sheet tray caster wheel located in the front-left part of the assembly.


Explanation

The uneven level or the incorrect height of the HCIT basically causes this issue. Anything which modifies the height/levelness of the HCIT can cause this type of paper jam. Other scenarios include the uneven installation of the brackets and damaged printer parts.

Troubleshooting

The following steps can help prevent and resolve the paper jams issues caused by the HCIT or 3000-sheet tray.

  • Locate the missing 3000-sheet tray caster wheel and attempt to re-install it to the HCIT.
  • To clear paper jam from Door C, slide the 3000?sheet tray to the right (If installed), open the door and clear the paper jam.
  • Make sure that both the printer and HCIT is on a flat, sturdy, and stable surface.
