The printer is unable to connect to the network when entering or exiting Sleep mode.When exiting sleep mode, the control panel awakens but network connectivity to the printer is lost.
Follow the steps below to guide you through waking up the printer.
Press the green or Start button on the control panel. If the printer wakes up, yet is still unreachable over the network, proceed with Step 2.
Power off the printer and power it back on. Observe whether the printer connects back to the network or remains inaccessible.

The device dropping off the network, or losing network connectivity, in certain customer environments is caused by the printer renegotiating its IP address when entering or exiting sleep mode. This speed renegotiation is necessary for Blue Angel compliance. Please be aware that disabling ethernet renegotiation will take the device out of Blue Angel compliance.
Disable network speed renegotiation, which gets activated when the device enters sleep mode. There are three possible methods to do this:
Method 1: VCC.zip file: (
Preferred for larger printer fleets. Requires printer firmware LW63.##.P746 or later. )
The VCC key nvForceGigE value will be Auto if it is On (Enabled) and Off it it is disabled.
Method 2: Config Menu
Power off the device.
While holding down the 2 and 6 buttons, poweron the device.
Scroll down to Ethernet Renegotiation and tap the arrow.
To disable Ethernet Renegotiation change the value to "Off", to enable Ethernet Renegotiation change the value to "On".
