Lexmar CX8xx_72x and XCxxxx: Card Copy Will Not Print a Document when You Are Logged In Using an Admin Account

Affected Products:

Multifunction: CX725, CX727, XC4140, XC4143, XC4150, XC4153, CX820, CX825, CX827, CX860, XC6152, XC6153, XC8155, XC8160 and XC8163

Issue Description:

When you use Card Copy while logged in using the Admin account, it will not print a document.

Explanation:

This issue occurs when the public permission for B/W Print and Color Print is disabled for a Guest account.

The expected behavior for Card Copy when logged in as the Admin is that it should print a document.

Solution:

To resolve this issue, update the firmware version to FW3 or higher.

To obtain this FW, access the

Lexmark support site

and go to:

Customer Support > Device Firmware > Type the printer model and click submit > Select the updated firmware from the list.
