What you will see
When performing the Erase Printer Memory function, the following occurs:
- The erase procedure hangs when public permissions are disabled.
- The erase procedure is incomplete on devices without a hard disk.
- Afterwards, you receive an incorrect "Printer Memory Last Sanitized" timestamp.
Affected products
This issue was first seen on the CX725 MFP; however, printers with similar firmware architecture may exhibit this issue.
Suggested remedy
A PE-released version of firmware ATL.021.063, or greater,is available that addresses the issues described above. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support and reference this article ID# SO7871 when inquiring about obtaining this firmware.
NOTE: You may be asked to escalate this issue to verify both causation and your printer's configuration settings.
