Issue Description:
One of the changes that you will notice when you update your printer’s firmware (FW) level from FW2 to FW3 is the name and location of the Print Quality Samples. This document describes these changes.
Note:
The Print Quality Pages are useful for diagnosing various print quality issues with your printer. The level of detail they provide can help you to determine the cause of the issue.
After Updating from FW2 to FW3:
- The menu name "Print Quality Pages" is replaced with "Basic Print Quality Samples".
- Location: In FW2, it is located under 'Settings-Reports'. In FW3, it will be in a new location – 'Settings-Troubleshooting'
- Fewer pages/less toner consumption; only the pages necessary for typical customer-level print quality troubleshooting are included. A ruler chart is also added to identify the source of repeating defects.
