Recurring E-904 Error When Sending Fax Via Fax Over IP (FoIP)

What you will see

A repeating E-904 error appears in the fax job logs when you try to send a fax using Fax over IP (FoIP). FoIP allows faxes to be sent and received via the network card without the need for a fax modem (card), utilizing the t.38 protocol. Suggested Remedy

Please contact Lexmark Technical Support to acquire the firmware that will fix the issue.

NOTE:

The Lexmark representative might ask for the printer's current firmware level. Please refer to this link xref_Check_xref for the steps.
