Troubleshooting a false 111.50 service printhead error

Overview

After installing a finishing option (e.g., Stapler) with Sleep Mode enabled, the device displays a 111.50 Service Printhead error.This error is seen when the device awakens from sleep and its frequency of occurrence is dependent upon the Sleep Timeoutvalue and the number of times the device awakens.

Solution

Update the printer’s firmware to resolve this specific error.

Note:  This 111.50 Printhead Error/crash is not an actual printhead issue. No printhead damage has been sustained as a result of this behavior. The printer can recover from this type of error simply by powering the device OFF, waiting ten seconds, and Powering the device back ON.
