Suggested fix

It is possible that your Function Access controls for Scan to E-mail are not configured for badge authorization.

To verify and correct this security setting:

  1. Open the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) by entering your printer's TCP/IP address into your web browser's URL field; i.e., http://printer's_IP_address.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Security > Security setup > Access controls > Function Access > E-mail Function.

  3. From the drop-down menu of authorization options, select BadgeAuth (Smartcard) and then Submit.
