Scan Center initiated emails result in illegible PDF file on Apple devices running iOS 10 or later

Affected Products:

Issue Description:

E-mails containing attached PDF files are unreadable when opened with the default PDFviewer inApple's iOS.

Solution:

A remedy is to open the file with an alternative Adobe® viewer. However, a more permanent firmware (FW) fix is available that addresses a PDF issue with 1-bit mono images. To obtain this firmware, contact Lexmark Technical Support.

FW fix level: xx.032.104 and later

  • Products: Lexmark MX / CX / XM / XC 31x, 41x, 51x, 61x, 71x, 81x and others*

FW fix level: LW63.xx.P687 and later*x – A variable value that is specific to the model and product model number.
