CC and BCC options grayed out after selecting from the shortcut list

What you will see

After choosing a recipient's e-mail address from the shortcut list, the Cc and Bcc options are grayed out. This disables you from selecting the Cc or Bcc options on the succeeding entries.

NOTE: You are only able to get the Cc and Bcc options available when typing the recipient's e-mail address manually, or when navigating back up to first entry, and then back down to the second.

Recommended solution

Update the printer’s firmware to PE Release code LW20.TU.P258 or higher. To obtain this version, please contact your next level of support or Lexmark Technical Support and reference this article ID. Support personnel can assist with the update procedure if necessary.

Please note that when selecting shortcuts, the e-mail address will always be applied to the “To:” option, unless it is set as Cc or Bcc via the Embedded Web Server (EWS). See steps below.

How to set Cc and Bcc E-mail Shortcut via EWS

Assign a particular user as Cc or Bcc in EWS by tagging E-mail shortcuts in EWS. Please follow the steps below:

Step	Action
1	Access the printer’s EWS. To do this: a. Open a Web browser; e.g., IE, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome. b. Enter the printer's IP Address, and then press Enter.
2	Select Settings, and then Manage Shortcuts.
3	Select E-mail Shortcut Setup.
4	In the Address field, make sure to add “Cc:” and/or “Bcc:” before entering the recipient's e-mail address.
5	Fill out all required fields, and then click Add.
