Total fax send and receive failure with the following additional observations:


NOTE:
Do not confuse this issue with random intermittent errors wherein some faxes are transmitted while others fail. Moreover, this issue should also not be confused to with initial FOIP setup failures wherein every single call fails due to a configuration issue.

Solution

PE-released firmware has been made available to address this issue. Contact Lexmark Technical Support andreference this article ID# SO7952 to request this firmware.

For MFP generation... Request PE firmware level...
2012 (M, MS, MX, XM, CS, CX, XC models) LW60.xx.P648 or newer
2010 (X548, X792, X925, X95x models) LHS42.xx.P538 or newer
2008 (X65x, X78x, X73x, X46x models) LR.xx.P728 or newer
X86x devices LP.SP.P729 or newer

An x denotes and model number within a product series; i.e., X950, X952, X954.
