What you will see
After running several jobs in a row, a message appears that says, "The printer does not have enough memory to perform this operation."
What is known:
- Every scan job is unique and has different memory requirements.
- The application is not able to predict memory requirements nor use behavior; hence, you can only wait for jobs to complete and try again later.
Suggested Remedy
Either wait for resources to become available on the MFP or attempt to purchase more memory to reduce these instances. NOTE: Optical character recognition (OCR) is an extremely memory-intensive function and any large or complex scanning tasks will often require our server-based OCR solution.
To locate memory options for your printer, navigate to www.lexmark.com/ > Home > Products > Printers & Multifunction > "Select Your Model" > Accessories > Memory Options.
