eLSM v2.0.8 or v2.0.9 ? Unable to Rollup When Using Fully Qualified Domain Name Instead of the IP Address

Overview

The embedded Lexmark Service Monitor (eLSM) version 2.0.8 or 2.0.9 is unable to roll up to the Lexmark Fleet Tracker (LFT) server. This happens when the "Rollup Address" specified is the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) instead of the IP Address. You will get a "Rollup connection to <FQDN> (80) has failed! Provide a valid IP address." error.

Recommended solution

Update to the latest eLSM v2.1.0. If you have additional questions about this procedure, please contact Lexmark Technical Support for assistance.

IMPORTANT! To install this new version,

Power the MFP OFF and ON, and it will go out to the activation server and install the fixed version.

OR, stop and start the eLSM application from the embedded web server (EWS) > Settings > Embedded Solutions or Apps.
