Shortcut Center 5.0.x App Help Resources and Suggested Troubleshooting Tips

Overview

Lexmark Shortcut Center lets you use the application to create shortcuts for frequently used functions that can be accessed from the printer home screen. This solution can be installed on Multi-Function Printers (MFP) that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v.5.x.

Features

• Creating a shortcut
• From the home screen, touch the application icon.
• Select a printer function, and then touch Create Shortcut.
• Configure the settings, and then touch Save.
• Type a unique shortcut name.

Note:  To avoid clipped names on the printer home screen, type only up to 25 characters.

• Touch OK.

Note:  The application automatically generates a unique shortcut number.

• Editing or deleting a shortcut
• From the home screen, touch the application icon.
• Select a printer function, touch beside a shortcut, and then edit or delete the shortcut.

Note:  If you rename the shortcut, then make sure to type a unique name. To avoid clipped names on the printer home screen, type only up to 25 characters.

• Showing the shortcut icon on the home screen
• From the home screen, touch the application icon.
• Select a printer function, touch beside the shortcut.
• Touch Show on home screen.

Note:  If you remove the shortcut from the home screen, then touch Remove from home screen.

• Select an icon for your shortcut.
• The printer returns to the home screen.

Supported Devices

Any Lexmark device that supports eSF v5.0 applications with a minimum 256 MB of memory and the required level of firmware appropriate for that device.

• CX820 (PP.02.041a or later)
• CX825 (L), CX860 (H) (PP.02.041a or later)
• CX725 (ATL.02.015 or later)
