Issue Description:
This document involves an issue affecting Smart Card Authentication Client (SCAC) and Print Release Lite. When you send a print job, it gets immediately printed instead of being held in the printer when using the Secure Held Print Jobs app.
It is expected that the print job will only be released when you tap or swipe your badge on the card reader or enter your authentication credentials.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, make sure to
enable Require All Jobs to be Held option. This can be accessed from the embedded web server (EWS): Security > Confidential Print Setup.
Additional Information:
The Require All Jobs to be Held option is no longer available in the Secure Held Print Jobs configuration (2016 Lexmark devices only) and can only be enabled under Confidential Print Setup.
