Overview
In MS Outlook or MS Word 2016, the printer delays or suspends when you change printer settings by navigating through File > Print > Printing Preferences > Layout and change Print on Both Sides (Duplex) value from "Print on both sides" to “Print on one side only”.
Recommended solution
Deleting or re-creating the print queue may fix the issue.
Explanation
Any performance delay is due to the Microsoft design limitation for driver architecture in point and print environment. All earlier Windows OS versions will have the issue and this is fixed in Windows 10 RS1 and Server 2016 setup. You may refer to Microsoft’s article ID 3139469 for more information.
