Printer is unable to send e-mail notification when supply is low

What you will see

The printers listed below fail to send e-mail alerts or notifications when supplies (e.g., Toner Cartridge, Photoconductor, Maintenance Kit, Imaging Unit, etc.) are running low.

This happens even when E-mail Alerts are set up appropriately as shown in this image.

Affected printers

This issue has been seen on the following Lexmark models, but other models not listed here could be affected:



MS31x, MS41x, MS51x, MS61x, MS71x, MS81, MX310, MX410, MX51x, MX61x, MX71x, MX81x

CS310, S410, CS510, CX310, CX410, CX510

NOTE: An x denotes any number within a given printer model series.

Recommended solution

Update the printer’s firmware to PE Release code P459 or higher.
