Repeating marks or voids every third page printed

Overview

Marks or splotches of an unwanted color print on approximately every third page of a job. This issue does not cover the entire page (i.e., left-to-right), nor does it cover the entire page uniformly from top to bottom. Instead, it repeats the splotches after printing three pages. This issue does not have the appearance of speckles or dots, nor is it at random intervals or spacing. See sample page below.

Troubleshooting

1Try to print 20 pages to give the repeating marks or voids a chance to clear up. If the defect does not go away after printing 20 pages, the Image Transfer Unit (ITU) may need to be replaced.
2If issue persists after performing the steps mentioned above, an issue may exist within the machine's hardware. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support for other troubleshooting suggestions.
