  • In this printer architecture, a defective or worn Imaging Kit causes virtually all supplies-related print quality failures. Therefore, it is not necessary to replace Toner Cartridges to resolve these issues.
  • In addition, the Imaging Kits are consumables that users are responsible for replacing when prompted with a Replace Imaging Kit warning message.

The Imaging Kit may be replaced under Supplies Warranty. Contact Lexmark Technical Support to request replacement.

The Imaging Unit Supply Level shown near the bottom of Page 1 is “OK”, yet the word “Genuine” DOES NOT appear under the Supply Level…

The Imaging Kit has been contaminated with non-Genuine Lexmark toner. Imaging Kits so damaged are not eligible for replacement under the Supplies Warranty. The customer is responsible for its replacement. Note: Advise customer to use only Genuine Lexmark toner along with the new imaging kit to avoid this same issue in the future.

The Imaging Unit Supply Level shown near the bottom of Page 1 is NOT “OK”…

The Imaging Kit is being used beyond its normal rated life and the user is responsible for replacement. However, if the word Genuine appears under the Supply Level, the user may still be eligible for a replacement Imaging Kit through the Lexmark Rewards Program. If the user is enrolled in the Lexmark Rewards program, ask them to call (800) 834-7791 or visit www.LexmarkRewards.com to request a replacement.

Courtesy Replacement

Users who are not eligible for replacement under Supplies Warranty or Lexmark Rewards (as described in Options 2 and 3 of the Recommended Actions) may qualify for a one-time Courtesy Replacement.

IMPORTANT NOTES!

  • To receive a one-time Courtesy Replacement, all of the following conditions must be met.

    The Imaging Unit Supply Level shown near the bottom of the Device Statistics Page 1 is NOT “OK”.

    The word “Genuine” appears under the Imaging Unit Supply Level near the bottom of Device Statistics Page 1.

    The user agrees to enroll in the “Lexmark Rewards” program to become eligible for future Imaging Kit replacements.

  • If the word Genuine DOES NOT appear under the Supply Level, an error code similar to LRP-NGLD33.12_E will appear in its place. Record the error code in the call comments.
  • When issuing a one-time Courtesy Replacement of the Imaging Kit, use track code – ServiceDelivery Service CustSat/Fld.
  • When shipping replacement Imaging Kits to addresses in the United States, please encourage the user to return the old kit to Lexmark for failure analysis, using the prepaid shipping label provided with the replacement.
