What you will see
Paper jams and resulting 24x*.13 and24x.18 errors: these errors increase in frequency as the ream of paper nears the bottom of the stack.
*An x will be a 2 or 3 depending on the option tray in question.
Preliminary troubleshooting
Check or perform the following:
Verify proper paper loading instructions. These are outlined in your User's Guide or Quick Reference Guide. They can befound on support.lexmark.com by selecting your product and clicking on the Manuals tab.
Look for obvious jams or obstructions that may be hindering a clear paper path.
Look for an uneven surface on Tray 1pass-thru slot as seen in this top image below. If the pass-thru slot looks similar to what is pictured, then Contact Lexmark Technical Support and reference this article ID# SO7239.

Troubleshooting
Check proper paper loading (overfill, tray guides, paper shingling).
Make sure media is not defective (curl, wavy, ream glue) by replacing media.
