The Operator Panel Display Fails to Respond when Icons Are Pressed on a Lexmark CX510 Printer

What you will see

Scenario 1: The operator panel on the printer is ON; however, the bezel is pushing it down. (The bezel is the operator panel's plastic cover; see red arrows on the image below.) This activates a command, and will prevent any other command from responding when you press any icons (as shown below when a finger is pressed on the “Content” icon).

Scenario 2: The operator panel on the printer is ON and icons are responding when pressed; however, when a finger is pressed on the bezel (as shown below), menus or icons are activated (in this case the “Status/Supplies” icon).

Why this happens

If you are experiencing problems such as those described above, the issue is caused by the Operator Panel Bezel of the printer. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support or a local authorized service provider to arrange a service call.
