Transmission log does not print when sending fax or e-mail

Issue description

When you send a fax or an e-mail, the printer does not print a transmission log even if the Transmission Log setting is set to Print Log. This happens on shortcuts generated using the MyShortcut app.

Note:  Transmission Log is found on the printer’s embedded web server (EWS) – SettingsFax Settings > Analog Fax Setup or E-mail/FTP Settings > E-mail SettingsTransmission Log.

Solution

To enable Transmission Log printing, perform the following:

  1. Press the MyShortcut icon on the printer's control panel.

  2. Press Edit/Delete.

  3. Press the shortcut you are using, and then press the Edit button.

    Note:  You may change the name or icon, and then press Done and Next.

  4. Press Options, and then Advance Options.

  5. Press Transmission Log, select Print logs, and then save the changes.

Explanation

Any embedded fax or e-mail workflow follows the value set in the Transmission Log setting; however, the shortcuts generated via the MyShortcut app use their own Transmission Log setting.

For instance, if the value set in the Transmission Log is “Do not print log”, you may specify the shortcut settings to print logs.
