The Fax 'Auto-answer' and 'Manual Answer' Settings Are Not Working Together on the MX510 MFP

When Auto-answer and Manual answer fax settings are both enabled, only one of the enabled settings works properly.

Affected products

This issue was first seen on the MX51x Series of MFPs; however, printers with similar firmware architecture may possibly exhibit this issue.

Suggested remedy

Try the following fax setting values:

  • Enable Line connected Detection - Off
  • Enable Line in Wrong jack - On
  • Enable extension in use - On
  • Behind PABX - Yes
