Scan to Network App Does Not Prompt Nor Complete the Scan when Using an Existing File Name

What you will see


You scan to a folder using an existing file name with the following settings:

  • "Append time stamp" is disabled.
  • "Over-write existing file" is disabled.
  • "Allow user to enter file name" is enabled.
The Scan to Network ( SNF) app version 4.8.5 does not prompt that the name already exists. Moreover, it will not proceed with the scan and goes back to the home screen.

The previous SNF app versions display this Scan failed prompt when scanning to a destination containing the same file name.

Recommended solution

Update the SNF app to PE release version or higher.
