Recommended solution

To resolve this issue, install the missing iFilter (PDF iFilter 64 11.0.01) in Windows 64-bit systems.

This will correct the issue only with new documents. To be able to search previously indexed documents, make sure to rebuild the index by performing the following:

1 Click Start, and then select Control Panel.
2 Change View By to Small Icons, and then select Indexing Options.
3 Click Advanced.

On the Indexing Settings tab, click Rebuild, and then OK.
