Lexmark MS911 & MX91x ? The 2500 / 3000 Sheet Tray Shows a Different Paper Size from the Media Loaded

What you will see

When a customer loads paper into a newly installed 2500-sheet or 3000-sheet option tray, it will show different sizes (i.e., A4 or Letter) for the paper that is actually loaded and the information found under paper settings.

Unlike Lexmark's other devices, the Lexmark MS911 and MX91x's 2500-sheet and 3000-sheet option trays do not have an auto-size sense function, and therefore must be changed manually.

Recommended solution

Access the Configuration Menu by following the following steps:

1. Power off the printer. 2. Press and hold 2 and 6 simultaneously while powering the printer on again. 3. Release the buttons when the splash screen appears.

2 Locate Size Sensing from the configuration menu.
3 Select the option tray not showing any change when a different paper size is loaded (i.e., Tray 3 has letter-sized media loaded and it appears as A4 paper settings).
4 Set the size of the paper to match the one loaded in the printer.
