Issue Description:
Starting in Oct. 2020, the CX860, XC8160, and XC8163 will no longer have the Secure Element card installed at the factory.
Updates to the license files will provide the required licenses that were previously provided by the Secure Element card.
The Secure Element card may still be purchased as an aftermarket item to provide security improvements.
Solution:
If the inquiry is about a noticed difference that there is not a Secure Element card on the printer, no action is needed. The printer will operate as designed.
If the inquiry is about a message displayed on the printer op panel (“Secure Element Mismatch”, “Secure Element Missing”, or “32.40”), please contact Lexmark Technical Support for further assistance.
