How to Add Admin User in the Lexmark CX825, CX860, XC8155, XC8160, and XC8163

This document outlines the steps to create an admin user in the Lexmark multifunction printers CX825, CX860, XC8155, & XC8160.

1. Open any browser and type the printer's IP address in the address bar and then press ENTER.



2. Click Security and navigate under Select Option > Settings.

   



3. Click Add User.

   
   NOTE:

   There are four options when adding a user: you can either go for User Name/Password or User Name or Password or PIN. For this documentation, we will use PIN.



4. Choose PIN.

   



5. Once the page loads, fill up the needed lines under User Information.



6. Under Permission Group, make sure to place a check mark on Admin.

   
   
   NOTE:

   Under Permission Group, you can choose Admin or BW Users or Color Users. For this documentation, we will use Admin.



7. Click the Save button once done.



8. The image below shows how the PIN account ought to appear should you be able to successfully create one. Click Log In at the upper right and choose the PIN option. Make sure to choose Login Method as PIN and then place the PIN.

   



9. Once you have successfully logged in, the Log Out option should show up on the upper-right side of the page.
