Lexmark CS820, CX82x: Print Quality Diagnosis ? Vertical (Dark) Band of Toner on Printed Page

Issue Description:

Band or strip of toner can be seen from the top to the bottom of the page and can go beyond the print area. See print samples below:

Solution:

  1. Touch the “Status/Supplies” icon in the printer’s Control Panel. Check the status of supplies and replace those that are low or empty. Proceed with the next step if all supplies still register sufficient amounts.

  2. Determine which color is having the issue by printing the “Print Quality Samples”. To do this from the Control Panel, navigate through: Settings > Report > Print Quality Pages.
