Overview

Interact for Lexmark is an embedded solution that can be installed on printers that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework ( eSF).

Features

  • Enables Lexmark printers to integrate with the Lexmark Perceptive Content (formerly ImageNow) solution.
  • It allows users to scan and index documents from your smart multifunction product ( MFP) to Perceptive Content.
  • Documents are accessible and actionable within your ERP and other core applications.

Supported Devices

Any Lexmark device with at least 4.3rootquotescaped panel and with an available Hard drive can install Interact for Lexmark app with a minimum 256 MB of memory and the required level of firmware appropriate for that device.

1. Install app on EWS. 2. Import ucf file (with profile Prompt username/password or MFP login).

Profile not populated on home screen.

Profile should appear in OP Panel.

Recommendation: Please contact Lexmark Technical Support.

1. Install the application. Go to EWS > Apps > Interact for Lexmark > Configure. 2. Click 'Add' button. 3. See help button of Authentication Type. 4. Observe.

- Lacking information for Username/Password. - Includes 'Card' but doesnrsquotescapedt exist in the options. - 'Use MFP authentication credentials' not included.

In the next release, tooltip information will be improved.

1. Install the application. 2. Load paper in flatbed ( FB) scanner. 3. Select any option from Drawer and Document Type. 4. Click the ldquoescapedScanrdquoescaped button. A load paper prompt will appear, click Continue. 5. Click 'Send' button. 6. Click 'Scan the next page' option 7. Click 'Send' button. 8. Go to server, and observe the received file.

Only the first page was received by the server.

The issue occurs when converting the tiff file to PACKBITS compression using ImageFactory application, which only returns the first image.

Recommendation: Please contact Lexmark Technical Support.

1. Install the application. 2. Go to EWS. Configure. 3. In Perceptive Content IP input invalid values like 0.0.0 or abcdefg. 4. Apply.

Application is accepting this invalid values.

Current implementation has no restrictions enforced for the IP Address.

Recommendation: Please contact Lexmark Technical Support.

1. Install the application. Go to EWS > Apps> Interact for Lexmark> Configure 2. Click 'Add' button. 3. Input rootquotescapedtestrootquotescaped under 'icon text' field. 4. Click 'Browse' button under Profile Configuration File 5. Select downloaded txt file. 6. Click 'Apply' 7. Observe.

Profile was successfully created.

Current implementation, has no restrictions enforced for .ini filetypes only.
