Overview
This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK SCAN CENTER application. Lexmark Scan Center is an embedded solution that can be installed on printers that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v6.x. It scans a document once and automatically routes the image to one or more selectable destinations.

Requirements
A printer that supports eSF v6.x applications. Supported eSF v6.x printers include:
- CX725 Required firmware level: ATL.030.036 or later
- CX82x Required firmware level: PP.030.036 or later
- CX860 Required firmware level: PP.030.036 or later
Memory: The printer must have a minimum of 1GB RAM.
Supported browsers when accessing the configuration page are Google Chrome v43.x.x.x and Internet Explorer 11.x.x. For Internet Explorer, we recommend to turn off the compatibility settings.
Limitations and compatibility of release
- If the U.S. customary units (inches) are used, then edge erase values change when editing in one tab, going to another one, and then returning to it. The current implementation uses the International System of Units (millimeters) and converts to inches only when the metrics is set to the U.S. customary units. Navigating back and forth between tabs causes the change of values.
- The recognizable language selection resets when changing the file format.
- CCITT compression is used when custom job is set to On, and LWZ is used when custom job is set to Off.
- If the existing file is selected in Windows Explorer withthe preview option enabled, then Acrobat Reader opensthe file for preview. The application cannot overwrite the file and creates a temporary file instead.
- When sending jobs to a confirmation-enabled remote printer that is not in ready state or has an IR message, then the confirmation is held until the remote printer IR message is resolved.
- To improve processing performance, remove English from the recognizable languages. If no language is selected, then English becomes the default language.
- Before adding a shortcut icon, create a shortcut. Uploading an icon automatically saves it.
- When browsing the network, the screen timeout resets to 2 minutes.
