What you will see
Fine horizontal lines that appear in an alternating light and dark pattern consistently from the top to the bottom of the page. This pattern, also called "jitter", may occur when printing halftones or graphic images. The spacing between light and dark lines could be 0.8mm (0.03 inches), 2mm (0.08 inches), or 5-7mm (0.22-0.28 inches) apart. See samples below.

Initial troubleshooting suggestion
| Step | Action |
| 1 | Touch the “Status/Supplies” icon in the printer’s Control Panel. Check the status of supplies and replace those that are low or empty. Proceed with the next step if all supplies are still in sufficient supply. |
| 2 | As a temporary solution, you may try to enable the printer’s ‘Quiet Mode’ or send the print job at 1200dpi from the print driver in your computer.
Notes:
- Quiet mode and 1200dpi will slow the printer’s performance to about half-speed.
- To set the printer to Quiet mode: Settings > Device > Preferences > QuietMode Toggle.
- 1200dpi can be entered from the settings in the Universal Print Driver when sending the print job. This setting is temporary as it will only apply to that print job.

| 3 | If you do not want the printer performing at the half-speed setting, print the “Print Quality Samples” to determine which color is having the issue. To do this from the Control Panel, navigate through: Settings > Report > Print Quality Pages. |
