An "SMTP server not set up. [72.01]" message is showing on the display and a red status light flashes on the printer.
The issue happens when there is no SMTP server listed on the printer. To clear the error, you can either:
Using the Control Panel
From the main menu, scroll down and tap Settingsto access the Settings menu.
Scroll down and navigate to E-mail > E-mail Setup > Disable “SMTP server not set up” error as seen here.
Tap Onto disable the error and clear the blinking red status light.
Using the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
Type the printer's IP address on a web browser.
Navigate to Settings > E-mail > E-mail Setup.
Check the box beside Disable “SMTP server not set up” error option.
Click Saveto submit the changes.
