Lexmark CX/CS8xx and XC/Cxxxx: Receiving Faxes Fails After the MFP Stands Idle for an Extended Duration

Single-Function: CS820, CS827 and C6160

Multifunction: CX820, CX825, CX827, CX860, XC6152, XC6153, XC8155, XC8160 and XC8163

Failure to receive faxes as a result of the MFP going into Power Save mode for an extended period of time.

A firmware update addresses this issue.

1. You can first reboot the device or awaken the device to return fax functionality.



2. Check your printer's firmware level.

3. Based on your device's existing firmware-code level, you can update to the firmware levels suggested below:

   • PP.032.095 (FW3.2.95), or lower

     • Update to PP.033.097 (FW3.3.97)

   • Above PP.##*.095, but below .113; it is likelyyou have a PE-released version of firmware.*PP.031.xx or PP.032.xx

     • Update to PE-firmware version xx.032.113 or above



4. Update firmware.

   Badge Reader Does Not Work when Printer Is in Standby and Sleep Mode
