An application error appears when using the email function on the Lexmark Scan Center app

Overview

An “Application Error contact your system administrator” error message appears on the printer when sending a scan job via email using the Scan Center app (press Scan Center app from the printer’s control panel > E-mail).

NOTE: This happens only when the printer’s language is set to French and the country is Canada. Click here to see sample image.

Solution

Updating the printer firmware will fix the issue. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support to acquire the latest firmware.
