Overview
A 550-sheet lockable tray (Part number: 35S0367) protects costly or sensitive media, such as prescription receipts, checks, or letterhead.
While it can be used as an optional tray on almost all the latest Lexmark small & medium workgroup monochrome printers (click the link to see the Product compatibility guide), its tray insert can also be swapped as replacement for the primary tray (Tray 1) and still utilize its locking mechanism.
Lockable tray insert compatible as Tray 1
You can use the 550-sheet lockable tray insert as Tray 1 only with Lexmark printer models MS610, MX610, & MX611 that were manufactured after 2013. Simply swap the 550-sheet lockable tray insert to the standard tray insert that came with the printer.
For MS610, MX610, & MX611 manufactured before 2013, the right-hand side cover must first be replaced in order for the locking mechanism to work. Look at your printer's Serial Number sticker to identify its manufacturing date. Please see the link in Contacting Lexmark below to know the location of the Serial Number sticker.
If your printer is manufactured before 2013 and you need to use the 550-sheet lockable tray as Tray 1, please contact Lexmark Technical Support to set up service.
