Shipping and return

Issue description

If a printer is to be returned with the Toner Cartridge and Imaging Unit, special precautions need to be taken to prevent damage to the unit.

Note:  Make sure to have sufficient packaging tape to be used in the process below.

Solution

1. Open the front door and push the toner plunger down. Keep it in the down position using packaging tape.



2. Close the front door and tape it. The tape should extend from the multipurpose feeder door in the front around and onto the side covers (B).

   Note:  If a replacement printer is received, it should have these tapes installed on it. Use these same tapes for the returned printer.



3. Insert the unit into the foam with the front of printer in the curved portion of the foam. Install the top foam and tape the box closed.
