What you will see
The printed pages do not stack properly in the output bin and sometimes the following sheets will push the first few printed pages onto the floor. See the sample image below.

Explanation
At times, usually in high-humidity environments, paper will curl or "Smile" in the output bin. If the curl is severe enough, the back of the sheet will rise above the rollers (as seen below) and be hit by the next sheet.

Recommended solution
Here are some actions that can be performed in order to minimize paper curl and avoid the likelihood of sheets being pushed onto the floor:
Store paper in a low-humidity environment.
Keep the paper sealed in its original packaging and remove it only when you are ready to use it.
If the paper stack has been seated in the tray for some time, remove it, flip it over, and then put it back into the tray. Depending on the type of paper, this procedure can reduce the amount of curling.
Do not operate the printer where it can be exposed to higher than normal levels of humidity.
To avoid the paper being pushed onto the floor, pull or lift the paper output bin extender.
