Overview
You may encounter the following scenarios when using the Multi Send or Downtime Reports app:
If... | Then... |
Using the Multi Send app... | Jobs are not successfully sent to multiple destinations (e.g., Copy, FTP, E-mail, Remote Copy, Share Folder, and Fax). In addition, an e-mail or a print confirmation page will neither be sent nor printed. |
Using the Downtime Reports app... | Not all files are printed when printing multiple files found in a directory (e.g., ftp or network folder). |
NOTE: The preceding scenarios happen when the processing time to complete the job requires more than the printer screen timeout.
Functioning as designed
When the processing time exceeds the set screen timeout, the app will quit and the printer will return to the home screen.
To complete the job, adjust the screen timeout to a longer duration. You may set it to a maximum of 300 seconds depending on the number of destinations. Find this option on the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) > Settings > General Settings > Timeouts.
NOTE: Access the printer EWS by typing the printer IP address into the URL field of your browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari). For example, enter http://MFP_IP_Address, where MFP_IP_Address is the IP address of the printer.
