1 | Check the versions of the apps and gather the installation files. | |
2 | Go to the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) > Settings > Import/Export > Export Embedded Solutions Settings File to export apps’ settings. Note: Access the printer EWS by typing the printer IP address into the URL field of your browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari). For example, enter http://MFP_IP_Address, where MFP_IP_Address is the IP address of the printer. | |
3 | Go to the printer’s EWS >Settings >Embedded Solutions or Device Solutions – Solutions (eSF) or Apps – Apps Management, click on the License tab, and then click on Show Local License. | |
4 | Copy and paste the content of the license to a notepad and save the file as license.lic. | |

9 | Enter the app’s password. To do so, go to the printer’s EWS > Settings > Embedded Solutions or Device Solutions – Solutions (eSF) or Apps – Apps Management and select the following: - Lexmark Embedded Document Accounting for User Tracking > Configure, enter the password, and then test the settings (see Image 1).
Note: The default password is pharos. - Lexmark Register ME > Configure, enter the LDAP password (verify from the system administrator) and Document Accounting Server Settings password (pharos is the default), and then test the settings (see Image 2).
